www.notebookreview.com Dell recently announced the XPS M1330 a 13.3″ widescreen ultraportable and ultra sexy notebook that uses the Intel Santa Rosa platform. Equipped with an available dedicated Nvidia 8400m graphics, slot loading optical drive, LED backlit display, and integrated web-camera, the M1330 is less than 1″ thin at the front and weighs in at 4lbs. The following is a quick first take on the Dell M1330.

i have a 1530 and it doesnt have sound
I love these laptops but the problems with these laptops are the video card failure. Mine worked for 1.5 years for nearly 17 hours a day and sometimes 15 to 20 days non-stop with the internet connected to it and lots of programs running until it started showing vertical multi-colour lines every time i boot up. Other than that it is really sexy laptop!
common problems with this laptop are video card heats up more than it s supossed to and the dell software not loading correctly

its an awesome laptop one problem i just found out is that it came standard with a g card meaning that it cannot take advantage of my new n router’s speed

check out your fan, maybe its stop spinning, i have encounter this problem. the laptop freezes co’z of the heat
do they still sell the m1330 at bestbuy? or is it just the m1340 now?
I am just wondering if I am the only one who has the problem of this computer constantly freezing. (as in word freezes every 15-40 minuets I use it) I even asked a computer guy over to check it and he could not find a problem with it.

try givin it for service in the showroom…. if ur laptop has guarantee then he’ll replace a new one…. or if u still hav warranty he’ll fix it for free….
i have this laptop, an it’s greeeAAAT
reinstallation of driver failed, so now i have no audio driver, i put in my resource cd to install driver and the cd wont work, it told me to reinstall it, so i tried that and that also failed! I`am thinking of smashing it up into little bits, any other ideas?
Can anyone help me? i have an xps m1530 and everything is fucked, everytime i turn it on it has to do a disk check and has been doing so every since i bought it, recently the battery decided to not stop charging, once a week it actual still charges for some reason, and on top of that a new vista update took away my audio, i unistalled audio driver and when i reboot my laptop it simple told me
On my brother’s DVD slot thingy, it would play DVD that have a picture on it, it’ll only play silver discs?
ITS Possible for ur motherboard to Die ive had the same problem 3 Times M1330 And thhey Repaired it for free since when it came out it had an error though the new m1330 dont have errors anymore I THINK
ei guys just want to ask if its true that may be after 7 o 8 months of using xps m1330 it will suddenly shut down and mother board will be needed to change?im just worried coz my xps is coming 7 months in my hand,just need some advise,or else i will sell it if its true before its too late.
if ur having problems with vertical lines on ur laptop , mobo needs to be replaced
contact dell tech support,if u still have a warranty,they’ll replace it for u =)
